Instead of one large block, Resort@Munnar breaks the programme into a scatter of small cottages, each under its own pitched roof of clay tiles. The buildings stay low and domestic in scale, so the hills, the palms and the mist remain the main event.
Paths thread between the cottages across terraced lawns, stepping with the land rather than levelling it. Water sits in the foreground of the scheme, catching reflections and cooling the air around the common spaces — a quiet edge between arrival and retreat.
A resort that feels less like a building and more like a settlement.
